SaaS Marketplace Platform - Proposed Plan and Architecture

Overview & Objectives

This document outlines a 30–60–90 day execution plan for building a production-ready, scalable, and observable SaaS marketplace platform.

The approach emphasizes:

• Clear microservice boundaries aligned with business domains
• Secure, multi-tenant architecture using OAuth 2.0 with JWT-based access tokens
• Horizontally scalable infrastructure and stateless services
• Full lifecycle ownership, including CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and risk management

This plan reflects my prior experience delivering and operating production systems across real-estate, healthcare, and AI-driven SaaS platforms.

Phase 1: Days 1–30 | Strategy, Discovery & Foundation

Architecture Blueprint

The system will follow a microservices architecture, with clearly defined responsibilities:

• Auth Service

  Authentication, authorization, OAuth 2.0, tenant isolation

• User & Vendor Service

  Vendor onboarding, approvals, profiles, role management

• Catalog Service

  Products, categories, pricing, availability

• Order Service

  Cart, checkout, order lifecycle

• Payment Service

  Split payments, vendor payouts, reconciliation
