Inventory

What This Page Does

Inventory is the cost-management workspace for products and SKU variants. It controls product-level defaults, SKU overrides, dated Unit COG and FBS shipping periods, and FIFO inventory lots used in profit reporting.

The summary cards show configurable catalog, stock, cost, sales, and ROI totals. Cards fill the available width and keep monetary values together on one line. Use Configure Metrics above the cards to choose which totals you see. The table below is product-first: products are parent rows, and products with multiple variants can be expanded to show their SKUs.

Money is displayed in your shop's currency. JPY and other zero-decimal currencies do not show a trailing decimal suffix, while currencies with minor units keep their normal decimal places. This changes presentation only; saved costs and profit calculations are unchanged.

For an active connected shop, Dashboardly makes dated-cost controls available automatically after the initial full import and required cost preparation complete. Inventory checks that readiness each time the page loads; no separate support-side activation is needed. Until the data is ready, period-costing controls stay unavailable to prevent partial cost history from being saved.

Stock and Inventory Value

Stock comes from TikTok's inventory sync. Available Stock is the quantity available to sell; Reserved Stock is committed to orders. Total Stock includes both.

Inventory updates received from TikTok are grouped into a five-minute window before the report refresh is queued. Processing or retries can add time; this is not a promise that every product is checked every five minutes. TikTok's low-stock alerts do not cover every restock. The daily catalog sync also requests current inventory for active listings as a fallback when an inventory alert is not received.

Unit COG is a per-unit cost. Total COG (Inventory Cost) values the stock currently held, so having Unit COG set does not by itself establish an inventory value when stock data is missing or zero. This is separate from Profit & Loss COGS, which applies costs to sales in the selected reporting period.

If TikTok shows stock but Inventory does not, the stock sync needs verification. Changing Unit COG is not a correction for missing stock.

When reporting a difference, include the product name or SKU and the available quantity shown in TikTok Shop so support can compare the same item.

Product and SKU Rows

Clicking a product or SKU opens its detail page. On Product Overview, Manage Unit COG follows the selected scope: a specific SKU tab manages that SKU override, while All SKUs manages the product default for current and future SKUs, even if the product currently has only one SKU.
