1.1 Welcome

Welcome to the Gaming Oasis VALORANT (VAL) Competitive Title Game Guide! This guide covers VALORANT-specific settings, procedures, and exceptions. Use the Conference General Guidelines for shared rules and the assigned format for competition structure.

1.2 Specific Dates

Specific season dates appear in the Competitive Calendar for each conference, available in the conference docs channel.

2.1 Match Sets

Each VALORANT game day consists of 1 match set with one match streamed per set. Each team will have 1 match per night. Match sets operate on a rolling schedule so teams can proceed as needed. If your match is selected for stream, you must wait for direction from the production team before starting. More information for streamed matches is located further in this document.

2.2 Format, Progressions, Reschedule Deadlines, and Points

2.2.1 Primary Format

VALORANT Primary Format

The primary format has four phases. Use the assigned format document for exact advancement, series lengths, deadlines, invitations, and points; the competitive calendar supplies dates.

• Phase 0: Tier Assignment — Swiss event across two weeks, followed by the tier/group draw.
• Phase 1: Groups — Weeks 1–3; four-team single round-robin groups, Bo3. Group results determine progression to Winner’s Circle, LCQ, or Rising Star Playoffs under the tier-specific rules.
• Phase 2: LCQ / Winner’s Circle — Weeks 4–6; double-elimination LCQ and a four-team round-robin Winner’s Circle. Results determine playoff qualification and seeding.
• Phase 3: Playoffs — Weeks 7–8; 12-team single elimination to the Top 4. The separate Rising Star playoff path runs Weeks 5–8. Seasonal Finals follow the format document and calendar.

2.2.2 Secondary Format

VALORANT Secondary Format

Eight weeks; primarily 8–16 teams, supporting up to 16. All series are Bo3, with one scheduled series per week. Registration changes group numbers and sizes without changing the phase structure.
