This guide is intended for collaborators outside of Coefficient Giving who are interested in sending referrals for our roles. Internal referral information for current Coefficient Giving team members is available here.
Coefficient Giving is currently hiring for a number of roles, and we offer a $5,000 or $10,000 reward, depending on the role, to anyone who refers a candidate we end up hiring.
To qualify for the referral reward, please ask the person you are referring to submit an application through our site and mention that you referred them, or email us at [email protected] to suggest that we reach out to the candidate.
We will contact you within 30 days of the candidate starting full-time to pay out the referral reward. We may end up rethinking our roles, adjusting the reward amount, or sunsetting the referral program entirely in the future; changes will generally be announced on this page. Only good-faith referrals are eligible for the reward, and final determination of referral reward payment and eligibility will be made at the sole discretion of the Coefficient Giving team.
Only one person will be credited with a referral. The person who receives credit for a referral will be the person credited on the candidate’s application when they apply, or the first person who first puts the candidate on our radar (counted from the time of receipt of the email/form response).
Referrals beyond the first 20 (per referrer per job) won’t qualify.
Candidates we’ve already been in touch with, or who have already applied, are not eligible. If we decide not to pursue a referral immediately, your referral will be valid for up to 6 months after the introduction.
If we end up hiring your referral, we’ll pay you a referral bonus of $5,000 for most roles, or $10,000 for certain senior positions! (We may adjust referral bonus amounts over time, e.g., to offer higher rewards for especially hard-to-fill roles. By default, we’ll honor the bonus amount advertised in the referral request for the specific role at the time the referral was made).
You are still welcome to submit referrals after the application deadline has passed and the posting has been removed from the Coefficient Giving Careers Page. However, we’re less likely to pursue referrals that are submitted after the application deadline.
