The best way to learn linux is just by making it your own os! lets do that in this project. I’m going to dual boot because some applications for school may not be compatible. But i will be using Linux Mint for almost everything else.

Step 1: Download the ISO file for Linux Mint. an ISO file is just a file for the whole OS installation.

Step 2: Creating a “Ventoy”

what is a Ventoy?

a Ventoy is a USB where you can boot multiple OS from a single USB flash drive.

Since im using Windows I will be using the Windows file.

Next Extract the file and run

Ventoy2Disk

click Install.

Drag the ISO File to the Ventoy USB.

Boot into UEFI/BIOS and choose the boot order.

I have a legacy USB so i enabled CSM and Legacy boot USB.

Start Linux Mint

Now we just install it with the ISO on the top left

Keep clicking next for the available options
