Welcome. This system takes you from "I want to start investing" to a real portfolio that runs on autopilot, in about 2 to 4 weeks of reading and doing.

How to use it

  1. Read one chapter at a time, in order. Each one takes 10 to 20 minutes.
  2. Every chapter ends with Your action steps. Do them before moving on. Reading without doing changes nothing.
  3. Fill in My Investing Plan as you go. By the end of Chapter 7 it will be complete.
  4. Use the Portfolio Tracker and Monthly Investing Log every month. That is the whole habit.

How to duplicate this system

Click Duplicate in the top right corner of Notion. The whole system, including the trackers, is copied into your own workspace. Delete the rows marked EXAMPLE once you understand them.

Good to know: Notion doesn't pull live stock prices. You update the Current price columns yourself, which takes a couple of minutes a month and keeps you connected to your portfolio.

What this is and what it is not

This is education: how investing works and how to build your own process. It is not personal financial advice and not a list of things to buy. Every example ticker, number and portfolio is an illustration. You are responsible for your own decisions. If your situation is complicated (debt, business income, large sums, taxes in several countries), talk to a licensed advisor or tax professional in your country.

The philosophy in one paragraph

Most people who fail at investing don't fail because they picked the wrong stock. They fail because they never start, they start without a plan, or they panic and sell when markets fall. So this system is built around three things: a strong, boring core of diversified ETFs, a small explore part for individual stocks you believe in, and rules you write down in advance so emotions don't make your decisions.
