LPDP Hunter (2022–2026) → RISE Community (2026–Present)
LPDP Hunter began in July 2022 as a peer-support initiative I created while preparing for the LPDP scholarship selection process. Starting with just six people, the community was built to address a simple but important gap: applicants needed a trusted space to ask questions, exchange experiences, seek guidance, and learn from people who had gone through the process.
After becoming an LPDP awardee, I expanded the initiative beyond peer-to-peer information sharing into a structured learning and mentorship community. Over the following years, the community grew into an ecosystem of more than 2,000 members across multiple WhatsApp groups, supporting prospective applicants and awardees through recurring mentorship programs, webinars, peer learning, and scholarship preparation activities.
In 2026, I expanded this community-building experience through RISE Community, a broader and more inclusive learning community focused on multiple scholarship programs and wider learning and professional development opportunities. RISE currently brings together approximately 700 members across communities focused on scholarships including LPDP, AAS, Manaaki, Tamba Samba, GKS-G, and RGS.
Creating a trusted peer-support space
When I was preparing for the LPDP selection process in 2022, I found limited access to a trusted peer community where applicants could openly ask questions, exchange experiences, seek practical guidance, and learn from people who had gone through the process.
Turning informal sharing into structured learning
As the community grew, the challenge shifted from simply connecting people to creating consistent and structured value for members. This required developing relevant discussion topics, mentorship programs, webinars, and preparation activities aligned with different stages of the scholarship process.
Coordinating a growing community
With the community expanding across multiple groups, maintaining communication, coordinating mentors and speakers, managing programs, and tracking participant progress became increasingly important.
Expanding beyond a single scholarship ecosystem
As the community matured, another challenge was how to make the model more inclusive and relevant to people pursuing different scholarships and learning opportunities. This became one of the motivations for developing RISE Community in 2026.
Founder & Community Lead
I founded and led the community from its initial six-member peer-support group into a multi-group learning and mentorship ecosystem. My role evolved from facilitating peer-to-peer discussions into designing programs, coordinating stakeholders, managing mentors, and developing partnerships.
