• The 1 & 1 bonus is a free throw situation used at certain levels of play.
• When a team is in the 1 & 1 bonus:
  • The fouled player is awarded one free throw.
  • If the first free throw is made, the player is awarded a second free throw.
  • If the first free throw is missed, the ball becomes live and play continues.
• The 1 & 1 bonus is awarded only for common personal fouls.
• Player control fouls and team control fouls do not result in bonus throws.
• The 1 & 1 bonus is not used at all levels of play or in all leagues.
