Upgrades take effect immediately: you pay a prorated amount and your billing date resets. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle, so you keep your current plan and credits until then. Both are done from the Pricing page at higgsfield.ai/pricing, and the downgrade option is in the detailed comparison section, not on the main plan cards.
| Upgrade | Downgrade | |
|---|---|---|
| Takes effect | Immediately | At the next billing cycle |
| Billing date | Resets to the moment of upgrade | Unchanged |
| Payment | Prorated charge, shown before you confirm | No charge until renewal at the new price |
| Your credits | Unused value counts toward the new plan price | Stay available until the end of the paid period |
The upgrade activates instantly and your billing date resets to that moment. Promo credits and Credit Pack credits aren't affected.
When you upgrade, Higgsfield works out the unused value of your current plan and deducts it from the new plan's price, so you pay only the difference. Unused credits and, on annual plans, unused months are both counted. The exact amount is always shown in the payment window before you confirm.
The downgrade takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Until then you keep full access to your current plan and its credits. At the next billing date, credits reset to the new plan's allowance. Credit Packs and promo credits are not affected.
If you're on a Creator Annual, 18-month, or 2-year plan, the Downgrade button isn't available. Reach out through higgsfield.ai/contact and the team can help you adjust your plan.
Will I lose my credits when I upgrade?
No. Your unused credits are calculated at their prorated value and deducted from the new plan price. Promo credits and Credit Packs are not affected.
