Purpose of doc: this is a draft for the doc that we’ll share with prospective Edge City residents to get them excited about the experience.
Notes (Feb 1 convo)
Join us this June in Northern California for a month-long popup village focused on experimentation at the frontier of tech, science, and society.
Hosted in beautiful Healdsburg, Edge City NorCal will be a unique meeting point for cutting edge thinkers and builders in Crypto, AI, BioTech & Longevity, New Cities, Philosophy, and Governance.
Our gatherings are ‘society incubators’ — labs of experimentation for new ideas, tech, culture, and organizations, all dedicated to accelerating human flourishing.
We will gather 150 full-time residents, and up to 300 part-time guests throughout the month. If you’re reading this, we hope you’ll join us.
Edge City convenes people working at the frontier of tech, science, and society in popup villages across the globe. We aspire to be a ‘society incubator’— a lab of experimentation for new ideas, tech, culture, and organizations, all dedicated to accelerating human flourishing.
There will be five programming tracks that center on specific topic areas. Each track will have an unconference-style focus with a mix of planned talks and self-organized sessions throughout the month.
Each week at Edge City Bay Area will spotlight a specific track. For each spotlight week, there will be 2-3 sessions per day on that track’s topic and active building of projects related to that topic. During each weekend, the projects created related to that topic are presented and played with by a bigger group, including a mix of experts and guest visitors who come for the weekend.
Track A: Real-World Crypto and AI
