Role Description

The Director of External Relations is a cross-portfolio role spanning Development and Operations. You will lead QMIND's outreach to external companies, oversee a team of Partnerships Coordinators, and take ownership of confirmed engagements through to delivery. This role sits at the intersection of sponsorship, recruiting partnerships, and collaborative events with companies. It is the primary point of accountability for QMIND's external relationships, and you'll report directly to the MD of Development and MD of Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Partnerships Coordinators, providing direction, support, and oversight on company outreach
• Own the sponsorship pipeline end to end, from coordinator outreach through to confirmed sponsorships
• Take over coordination and delivery of confirmed collaborative events and engagements landed by the team, including logistics, scheduling, and day-of execution where needed
• Maintain a working knowledge of the sponsorship package and ensure all outreach reflects current offerings accurately
• Collaborate directly with the MD of Development and MD of Operations as the primary point of contact for external relations
• Keep records of company outreach, pipeline status, and confirmed engagements

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, comfortable leading conversations with external companies
• Comfortable leading a small team and holding people accountable
• Organized and detail-oriented enough to track a pipeline across multiple coordinators and companies simultaneously
• Prior experience in outreach, sales, partnerships, sponsorship, or client-facing roles is a strong asset
• Familiarity with QMIND's mission and community is an asset but not required
