Re-transcribe regenerates the transcript for a recording on Plaud App — use it when the wrong language was selected or you want to try again with different settings.

What is Re-transcribe?

Re-transcribe takes the original audio and produces a new transcript, replacing the existing one. You can pick the language manually or let Plaud detect it.

Before you start

• Re-transcribing consumes minutes from your account.
• Re-transcribing replaces the current transcript, AI summary, and any notes for the recording.
• Final accuracy still depends on audio clarity, background noise, and speaker volume — re-running the same audio doesn't guarantee a better result.

How to re-transcribe?

1. Open the recording.

2. Tap "…" at the top-right corner.

3. Tap Re-transcribe.

   

4. Pick the language:

   • Auto — let Plaud detect the spoken language.
   • Custom generation — manually choose the language.

5. Tap Generate.
