Audio import expands Plaud’s capture capabilities by allowing users to bring recordings from outside the Plaud ecosystem into the same intelligence workflow.

Understanding audio import

Import audio from your local files or third-party apps directly into the Plaud App. Plaud processes these files like native recordings, allowing you to extract insights and apply templates immediately.

How to import audio?

From your local files:
1. Launch your Plaud App and tap on the Record button.
2. Tap on Import Audio.
3. Choose From Files/From Photos to select the local files you want to import.
4. Then, it will start transcoding and importing.
From third-party apps:
- Voice Memos
  1. In the Voice Memos, find the voice recording to be imported and tap ”...” next to the recording name.
  2. Select Share.
  3. Tap on Plaud.
- Other Apps
  1. In the third-party App, locate the target file and select an option like Share/Open with other apps/Open in.
  2. Tap on Plaud.

Supported formats, length, and sources

Supported file formats: MP3, MP4, WAV, AAC, RMVB, RM, DIVX, TS, M2TS, 3GP, F4V, ASR, and other common audio and video formats.
Maximum length: 5 hours per file. If a file is longer than 5 hours, Plaud automatically splits it into two files. This limit is the same on the Plaud App and Plaud Web.
Supported sources: Local files, Voice Memos, and other third-party apps that support sharing.
