In this article you'll create a library item (cell) and manage your content on the Content page.

A library item — also called a cell — is a single, standalone piece of content: a video, a PDF, a link, an infographic, a podcast, or a short written guide. (You may have known these as "resource cells".) Cells are perfect for quick reference and just-in-time support — the things learners return to when they need them — rather than a full, sequenced learning journey, which is what a Beeline is for. Once a cell lives in a library, any group with access to that library can find it.

Create a library item (cell)

  1. Select Quick Actions → Create Cell.
  2. Choose the type of cell for your content:
  3. Add a clear title and your content, then create the cell.

Add a cell to a library

A cell only reaches learners once it sits in a library their group can access.

Heads up before you start: the cell's own ⋯ menu (Build Mode / Edit tags / Edit categories / Remove) has no library option — don't look there. The cell editor's "Submit to [Org]" → "Suggest Libraries" field looks like the right place too, but it currently returns no results, even for your workspace's own default Internal library. Use the library-side path below instead.

  1. Go to Admin → Content → Libraries.
  2. Find the library you want under Internal, open its ⋮ (three-dots) menu, and select Manage Content. Inside, switch to the Cells tab (separate from the default Beelines tab) — this is where you add cells specifically.
  3. Add the cell (or cells) you want the library to include, then save.

You can add the same cell to more than one library. Granting a group access to a library is covered in "Create your first library".

💡 Pro tip: Reuse the same cell across multiple libraries instead of recreating it. Update it once and every library stays consistent — handy for a policy or "how to" that several teams need.

Manage your content

To find and manage everything you and your team have created, go to Admin → Content. It has three tabs: Content (your Beelines and cells), Libraries, and Manage.

On the Content tab you can:
