Project Snapshot
Business need: Improve a live Shopify store’s search readiness, page quality and maintainability across product, collection and information pages.
My role: Reviewed and implemented technical and content improvements across the storefront, using Lighthouse, browser diagnostics, Shopify, GSC and AI-assisted workflows to identify issues, prepare repeatable updates and validate changes after release. Final facts, recommendations and publishing decisions remained manually reviewed.
Scope: 100+ Shopify pages · technical SEO · SEO/GEO content structure · metadata · internal links · structured data · redirects · WebP optimisation · lazy loading · responsive QA · GSC monitoring
Technical Search Readiness
I reviewed the live storefront for issues that could affect crawlability, page quality, performance and search presentation. Work included:
- Lighthouse and browser Network diagnostics
- WebP image optimisation and lazy-loading improvements where applicable
- Metadata and internal-link improvements
- Structured-data updates for Organization, Product, Article, Contact and WebSite information
- Redirect mapping for legacy pages and collections
- Responsive and live-page QA after implementation
- Google Search Console monitoring after changes
Site Structure & Hygiene
Selected implementation work included:
- Identifying a Brands page that resolved as a 404 and replacing it with an actual brands collection experience
- Hiding legacy collection and page content that should no longer be surfaced
- Redirecting legacy URLs to the relevant current collections instead of leaving outdated paths unresolved
- Improving Contact Us information so users and search systems had clearer business context
- Correcting homepage CTA destinations as part of storefront QA
