What's inside: the exact tool from the video — Google Maps Scraper Kit, a plug-and-play kit I built that runs a free, open-source Google Maps scraper locally and lets Claude drive it on autopilot. Give it a city + business type, get back a clean lead list: name, address, phone, website, rating, reviews, and (optionally) social accounts.
I built this one myself. It's a thin wrapper around gosom/google-maps-scraper by Georgios Komninos (MIT) — I added the one-command Docker setup, ready-to-run scripts, and a Claude skill so Claude knows exactly how to drive the API the right way. The kit's own code is MIT too.
The reason this exists: if you just ask an AI to "scrape Google Maps" directly, it hits a consent wall and JavaScript-rendered content and comes back with basically nothing. This kit runs a real scraper in a local Docker container, so it reliably returns dozens to hundreds of clean rows per query — the difference between can't and can.
What you get: infinite free local leads — name, phone, email, website, rating, review count per business, with an optional pass that also pulls Instagram/Facebook/LinkedIn off each business's own website at zero extra token cost. Full breakdown below.
Honest caveats:
depth, many keywords, scheduled runs without proxies) can get your IP temporarily rate-limited/blocked by Google (clears in minutes to hours). It does not ban your Google account.linux/amd64 and runs under emulation — if the container won't start, uncomment the platform: linux/amd64 line in docker-compose.yml.scripts/scrape.py instead of the bash script, which needs WSL2 or Git Bash.Prerequisites: Docker Desktop (required), Claude Code (optional but recommended), git (optional). Verify Docker's running:
docker --version
docker ps
1. Get the kit
git clone https://github.com/Mahanaicoach/google-maps-scraper-kit
cd google-maps-scraper-kit
cp .env.example .env # optional — defaults work as-is
