Linco ("Linco", "we", "us", or "our") is an offline translation app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app processes, where it is processed, and what choices you have.
Linco is designed to process translation content locally. We do not require an account, do not sell personal information, do not show third-party advertising, and do not use third-party analytics or cross-app tracking.
The app may request access to the camera, microphone, speech recognition, and photo library only when you use the related features. Translation text, voice input, photos, and OCR results are intended to remain on your device unless you choose to share or save them elsewhere.
When you use text, conversation, or camera translation, Linco processes the text you enter, the translated result, language selections, and related timestamps. This processing is performed on the device using the installed translation engines and resources.
When you use voice conversation or speech input, Linco records and processes audio temporarily to recognize speech. Audio is processed on the device when the selected recognition path supports on-device processing. Linco does not use voice recordings to build advertising profiles or train a general-purpose model. Temporary audio is discarded after processing unless the operating system or a feature explicitly saves a user-selected recording.
Camera translation uses the camera or a photo selected from the photo library. Linco processes the image locally for OCR and translation. Linco does not upload the image to its servers for translation. A translated image is saved to the photo library only when you explicitly choose to save it.
If enabled, text, conversation, and photo translation history is stored as local files. App preferences such as selected languages, display language, appearance, model preferences, and history settings are stored locally on the device.
If an iCloud container is available on your device, Linco may also read and write its history files in the app's iCloud Documents container so that your history can be available across your Apple devices. These files are associated with your Apple iCloud account and are governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy practices. Linco does not receive your iCloud credentials.
Linco is designed to translate without an internet connection. Network access is used when you choose to download offline models, language packs, speech resources, or other app resources. These downloads are served from Linco's resource host at r2.loko.cool.
The resource host and network providers may process standard connection information such as an IP address, request time, and transfer information to deliver files and protect their service. Linco does not send your translation text, voice recordings, or camera images as part of these model downloads.
The app may open external links such as the terms page, privacy page, social links, or third-party license pages in Apple's web view or browser. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
