MyNow (the “App”, “we”, or “us”) is a speaking-practice tool that provides on-device speech transcription, optional live structure guidance, and optional AI speech review.

Please read and understand this Privacy Policy before using the App. It explains what information MyNow processes, why it is processed, where it is stored, and what choices you have.

1. Information MyNow Processes

1.1 Microphone audio and speech recognition

When you start a practice and grant microphone permission, MyNow captures microphone audio so Apple’s Speech framework can transcribe your speech. The transcription pipeline runs on your device. MyNow also uses a bundled Smart Turn model on the device to detect natural pauses and speaking-unit boundaries.

MyNow does not upload microphone audio to servers operated by us or send the audio to the AI provider selected in the App. When the selected speech model is not installed locally, iOS may download and install a language asset provided by Apple. Apple handles that system service under its own terms and privacy policy.

MyNow uses audio only during the current practice and does not save it as an audio recording file.

1.2 Speech text and optional AI review

If you configure an AI provider and actively use a feature that requires AI, MyNow may send the following text-based information to the endpoint you selected:

The App sends the request directly to the OpenAI-compatible endpoint you configure. MyNow does not operate a proxy server for these requests, does not use your speech content for advertising, and does not sell your speech content. The provider you select may store or process these requests under its own terms and privacy policy. Review that provider’s policy before enabling AI review, and do not enter sensitive information that you do not want to send to that provider.

If you do not configure an AI provider, MyNow can still provide on-device transcription and local practice features, but it will not send speech text to an AI provider or generate an AI review.

1.3 Practice records and App settings

MyNow stores practice records in the device’s local SwiftData store. Depending on your settings and the result of a practice, a record may include the practice topic, title, date, duration, transcript, recognized main thread, score, and structured review result.
