Welcome to 2026-2027 back to school night for Live Well and we are going to cover a number of things in this session that includes just an overview of Live Well and our values and what we have planned for this year, some exciting updates to share with you and just go over some important elements to improve your child's experience with us this year. I'd like to share with parents a strong belief of mine that the most important business of one generation is the raising of the next generation. I think that this is something that we focus on regularly at Live Well.

And I want to impart this on you because although, of course, as parents, we know that parenting is everyone's number one priority, but Sometimes I think it gets away from us that Um. how that it gets away from us that our presence is so critical in the development of our children and I think what Live Well does really well is we work hard to keep parents at the forefront of the learning journey, but I also see that it's hard for parents to partner with us and stay engaged because of busy schedules and work and all these other commitments and children's activities, and everything just seems so busy.

But I would like to impart on you that Their education is probably one of the most important things elements that you shouldn't shy away from. And I do, while I do absolutely appreciate your trust in us, that makes you feel so comfortable in taking a step back from this experience. Um, I want to ask that you all lean in this year. Um, we, we don't want to parent your children. We don't want this to be only our lane.

This What we're creating works really well when you are present, you're a part of this journey, you are our partner, and And Frankly, it's you that we look to a lot of the time for direction and support. So just wanted to start the meeting with that because we value you, we value your parenting, we value your approach to parenting, and we value your partnership. And so with that, I'm going to personally ask you all to stay close this year.

you Many of you do so well, but I'm just asking you to continue to do that.

Um, So moving forward to a little bit of our core values, I like to remind parents that our values don't waver.

Even when people do, this is what safeguards the Live Well experience. And this determines whether a guide is with us one year or a guide is with us for four years. And we do have tenured guides that have been with us for a while and legacy guides. embodying the live well way and you know we are we're all just people we're all imperfect we all make mistakes but they have um they have done a wonderful job at leaning into our value system and upholding that because they understand that that is what what we promise to you and we work really hard to do what we say we're going to do.

And so on top of that, we're committed to our value system includes providing exceptional experiences, always with integrity, taking ownership and initiative, loving what we're doing because when we love what we're doing, your children can feel it. Doing it all with humility, ensuring that we're leading by example, and ultimately, honoring truth, respecting parental rights, and honoring family values. So that encompasses the foundation of what we're doing behind the scenes and everything that I hold our team accountable to. And so I also like to start off by saying I'm not just the founder of Live Well.

And before I'm the founder, I've said this to many of you before, I'm a mom. And frankly, I don't always get to see the Live Well program through a mom's eyes because I work in it so much and it's hard to see the forest through the trees. And I'm I want my children to be a part of an amazing program, which is why I work so hard to create something beautiful for all of our children. But you guys are my eyes and ears, and you see things that I don't.

And I'll never get offended if you come to me with an idea or something's not feeling right or something's not resonating with you. I'm a mom. And I want what's best for our children and You know, when your feedback comes, provided it fits within our value system, like it's, you know, we're quick to correct. And I say that from my heart because we're...

There's nothing out there like Live Well. And I mean, there are hundreds of schools out there. There are private schools, there's academies, there's all these, you know, other types of programs, but We're really special. Our families are what make us special.

The fact that we hold our value system so strong and that we are so family focused, I think that there are a lot of things that make us extremely unique and your feedback helps us remain on that path. So, Thank you. Thank you for being a part of this and being here tonight. Many of you may have heard this, but I like to kind of go through it every, I like to go through it every back to school night, but our pillars start with leadership and character development, immersive and interdiscipline self-directed learning.

And what this means, it sounds like a mouthful, but it's hands-on learning that's multi-subject, through multi-subject projects that ultimately lead to self-directed learning. And when a child is a cub and they come into our program, it starts with us trying to teach them how to be responsible and how to be independent. And that independence leads to autonomy and that autonomy leads to self-direction as they come in. You know, that autonomy comes into the lion studio, which leads into self-direction and ultimately agency over their their own learning journey.

And because we're not a regular school, we don't cover everything, but we do cover a lot.

We're extremely rich and abundant in things that we do cover, but we don't cover everything. And so that's part of the partnership.

You know, the things we don't cover that you want your children to learn, we encourage you to do. fill those gaps where needed. And then our third pillar is future readiness and real-world skills development.

And we have a strong focus on that as well. Everything we do is extremely intentional and everything has a why.

And These pillars are what lead that.

Obviously, sitting on top of the foundation of respecting family values, parental rights, and promoting togetherness. Promoting togetherness meaning you are with us. You're along this journey on our side, and you're very present, too. So when a parent is not as present, we feel it. And As much as we love children, we know that children don't have the... They don't thrive as much in our program, When the parent is not as engaged as...

We're hoping they would be. And so that means your involvement in projects, your volunteering, your talking to the guides and finding out what behavior challenges, where your child is thriving, where their growth edge is.
