Wave · live fluid dynamics lab
Wave is the Mathematical City’s interactive fluid-dynamics laboratory. Choose a flow scene, inject vorticity by dragging, and inspect how the displayed structure changes with viscosity and kernel contraction.
| Interface | Available values |
|---|---|
| Scenes | Kelvin–Helmholtz · Taylor–Green · Vortex pair · Quad dipole · Isotropic decay · Forced cascade |
| Display modes | Dye · Vorticity · Speed · Coherence |
| Controls | Pause · Reset scene · Open atlas · Kernel lock · Viscosity · Contraction |
| Readouts | Energy · Enstrophy · Re · Leakage · Ω · Ω − Ωc · spectrum E(k) |
| Displayed defaults | Kelvin–Helmholtz · Dye · Kernel lock on · viscosity 0.00045 · contraction 0.55 |
The deployed interface describes a periodic 128 × 128 spectral two-dimensional Navier–Stokes simulation with Helmholtz projection and a Kartekeya kernel-lock control. Its displayed reference is $\Omega_c=47/125=0.376$, and the spectrum marks $\sqrt{47/125}$.
Evidence class: E2 simulation. This page records the deployed interface and its declared model. A numerical implementation certificate and a runtime trajectory export are separate records; neither was supplied with this link.
Wave is lab 07 in the eight-lab public Octet. It supplies the controlled evolution / perturbation stage between a Mnemosyne-bound Horizon forecast and Identity’s persistence test.
