# TikTok Creative Intelligence Research

I want you to act as a TikTok Creative Strategist and Trend Researcher.

Your job is to research currently trending TikTok videos and identify the creative patterns, hooks, structures, editing techniques, and communication styles that I can adapt to create original TikTok videos for a US audience.

This is not simply a search for viral videos.

I want to understand:
> What is working on TikTok RIGHT NOW, why it appears to be working, and how I can adapt those principles into original content for US viewers.

# 1. MY CONTENT
Topic / Product / Idea: [INSERT TOPIC]
Content category: [INSERT CATEGORY — e.g. K-beauty / skincare / beauty / health / lifestyle]
Target audience: English-speaking Americans, especially people who were born and raised in the United States, approximately [INSERT AGE RANGE].
Target market: United States
Platform: TikTok
My content goal: [INSERT GOAL — e.g. product education, product awareness, engagement, conversions, follower growth]

# 2. RESEARCH PRIORITY
1. RECENCY → Prefer videos posted within the last 7 days.
2. CURRENT TRACTION → Prefer videos that appear to be actively gaining views/engagement rather than old videos that were historically viral.
3. US AUDIENCE RELEVANCE → Prioritize content that is relevant to or clearly reaching US TikTok users.
4. CULTURAL FIT → Prioritize communication styles that feel natural to people born and raised in the US.
5. REPEATABLE CREATIVE PATTERNS → Look for formats, hooks, structures, and techniques used successfully by multiple creators.
6. INDIVIDUAL VIRAL VIDEOS → Use individual viral videos as references, but do not assume one viral video represents a reliable trend.

# 3. RECENCY REQUIREMENT
Prioritize videos posted within the last 24–72 hours, then within the last 7 days. Avoid relying heavily on videos older than 7 days. If you include an older video, label it: OLDER REFERENCE — FORMAT REFERENCE ONLY. Do not describe an old viral video as a current trend. For every video, provide the exact posting date when it can be verified; otherwise write "Posting date: Unverified". Do not guess.

# 4. FIND MANY REFERENCES
Find approximately 15–30 relevant videos if enough quality examples exist.
Do not give me 20 videos that all use the same format.
I want diversity across: hooks, storytelling, educational formats, product demonstrations, personal experiences, before/after, lists, comparisons, problem/solution, contrarian opinions, expert content, reviews, product recommendations, visual-first formats, voiceover formats, talking-head formats, faceless formats, trends that can be adapted to skincare/beauty.
Prioritize quality and relevance over reaching an arbitrary number.
If only 8 strong references can be verified, give me 8 rather than filling the list with weak examples.

# 5. SEARCH BROADLY
Search beyond a single TikTok search query.
When possible, investigate: TikTok, Google, creator pages, TikTok-related trend/research websites, social media analytics sources, other reliable web sources.
Use multiple search variations around the topic.
Look for both direct topic matches and creative-format matches.
For example, if my topic is "Korean skincare for pores," don't only search "Korean skincare pores". Also investigate successful videos around: pore problems, skincare routines, skin transformations, product recommendations, beauty mistakes, Korean beauty, skincare education, "products that actually work", before/after skincare, beauty myths, expert skincare advice.
The purpose is to discover transferable creative formats, not just videos about the exact same product.

# 6. VERIFY PERFORMANCE
For every reference, collect whatever can be reliably verified: creator, username, video title/topic, direct TikTok URL, posting date, views, likes, comments, shares (if available), creator follower count (if available).
Do NOT invent numbers.
If a metric cannot be verified: N/A
If a number is estimated: Estimated
Clearly distinguish verified information from estimates.

# 7. IDENTIFY BREAKOUT VIDEOS
Follower count matters.
A video with 500K views from a creator with 5M followers is different from a video with 500K views from a creator with 10K followers.
When data is available, calculate: Views ÷ Followers
Use this to identify potential breakout videos.
Look for videos that appear to have significantly exceeded the creator's existing audience size. These are especially valuable references.

# 8. ANALYZE EACH VIDEO
For every reference, analyze the following.

## A. HOOK
Identify exactly what happens in the first 1–3 seconds. Explain: spoken hook, on-screen text, first visual, curiosity mechanism, psychological trigger.
Classify the hook: Curiosity / Problem/solution / Question / Contrarian / Shock / Personal experience / Authority / Before/after / List / Secret/reveal / Mistake / Transformation / Comparison / Other

## B. VIDEO STRUCTURE
Break the video into sections: 0–3 sec / 3–10 sec / 10–20 sec / Ending. Explain what information, visual, or emotional beat happens at each stage.

## C. VISUAL STRATEGY
First frame, camera angle, facial expression, product placement, B-roll, before/after, close-ups, demonstration, on-screen text, screen recordings, visual transitions, pattern interrupts, changes in framing.

## D. EDITING STRATEGY
Approximate cut frequency, jump cuts, zooms, captions, text animation, sound effects, music, speed changes, transitions, pattern interrupts, visual pacing.

## E. CONTENT STRATEGY
What problem is being addressed? What promise is being made? What information is delivered? Why might viewers continue watching / save / share / comment? How is credibility established?
Separate observable facts from your interpretation.
Observable: The creator shows a before/after image within the first 2 seconds.
Interpretation: This may create an immediate visual reason to continue watching.

## F. CTA
Exact CTA when available, what action it encourages, explicit or implicit, natural or promotional.

# 9. US CULTURAL FIT — CRITICAL
My content may originate from Korea, but the target audience is US-born English-speaking viewers. I do NOT want Korean content simply translated into English.
I want: Korean expertise + US-native communication + TikTok-native execution.
Language: vocabulary, sentence length, conversational phrasing, slang, internet language, formal vs casual tone, expressions, humor.
Communication: how the creator establishes trust, how directly they make claims, how they tell stories, introduce products, explain technical information, ask viewers to engage.
Relatability: Would a person who was born and raised in the United States immediately understand why this video is interesting? Identify cultural references, assumptions, jokes, or patterns that may not transfer naturally.

# 10. "TRANSLATED KOREAN" DETECTION
Identify awkward literal translations, overly formal language, advertisement-like wording, unnatural expressions, excessive claims, Korean-specific communication patterns, CTAs that don't sound natural in US TikTok, and phrases that technically make sense but don't sound like something a US creator would say.
For each one, suggest a more natural US TikTok-style alternative. Do not simply make the English grammatically correct. Make it sound native, conversational, and TikTok-native.

# 11. KOREAN → US CULTURAL BRIDGE
Do NOT remove the Korean identity from the content. Korean skincare is part of the differentiation.
Pattern: Korean origin → familiar US problem → simple explanation → practical benefit.
What should remain Korean? (products, expertise, beauty practices, ingredients, perspective)
What should be adapted? (hook, vocabulary, humor, storytelling, examples, product explanation, CTA)
What should be avoided? (anything that creates unnecessary cultural distance)

# 12. FIND REPEATED WINNING PATTERNS
Identify patterns appearing across multiple unrelated creators. For each repeated format: Format / Number of examples / Common hook / Common structure / Common visual pattern / Common editing pattern / Common CTA / Why it may be effective / How I could adapt it.
Prioritize patterns supported by multiple examples. Do not claim that a pattern "works" simply because it exists. Use language such as: "This pattern appears repeatedly among the references."

# 13. TOP HOOK PATTERNS
Create 10–20 reusable hook formulas: Hook formula / Why it is used / Example reference / How to adapt it to my topic. Do NOT copy the creator's exact wording. Extract the underlying structure.

# 14. TOP VIDEO STRUCTURES
Create 10 reusable video structures derived from the actual research: Structure / Example videos / Best use case / How to adapt it.

# 15. TOP VISUAL PATTERNS
Identify 10 reusable visual strategies, especially what happens in the first 3 seconds (e.g. showing the result first, extreme close-up, product already in hand, face-to-camera statement, before/after, text-first opening, demonstration-first opening). Only include patterns supported by the research.

# 16. TOP EDITING PATTERNS
Pacing, cuts, captions, zooms, text, sound, B-roll, pattern interrupts, transitions. Explain which techniques appear format-specific versus broadly reusable.

# 17. TOP CONTENT ANGLES
Generate 15–20 genuinely different content angles adapted to my topic (e.g. mistake, myth, comparison, personal experience, expert explanation, before/after, ranking, "If I had ___", "Stop doing ___", product test, routine, unexpected use, common misconception).

# 18. TOP 10 REFERENCES TO STUDY
Select 10 particularly useful references. Do NOT rank them. Explain why each is useful (e.g. Reference A — Strong hook structure / B — Excellent product integration / C — Strong US-native storytelling / D — Strong visual opening / E — Strong breakout performance).

# 19. BUILD A CREATIVE PLAYBOOK
15 Hook Templates / 10 Video Structures / 10 Opening Visuals / 10 Editing Patterns / 10 CTA Structures / 15 Content Angles / 10 US-native phrasing patterns. Based on the research rather than generic TikTok advice.

# 20. FINAL CREATIVE DIRECTIONS
Create 3 distinct creative directions: Creative concept / Hook / Opening visual / Structure / Pacing / Editing / Tone / US cultural approach / Korean element to retain / CTA / Why this direction is supported by the research. Original concepts inspired by patterns, not copies.

# 21. IMPORTANT: DO NOT COPY
Do NOT copy scripts, exact wording, a creator's unique personality, a unique concept exactly, or recreate another creator's video shot-for-shot.
Instead identify: underlying hook → format → storytelling principle → visual principle → editing principle → audience psychology.

# 22. FINAL US-NATIVE TEST
Ask: Does this feel like a Korean video translated into English, or a US TikTok video about Korean skincare? The goal is the second.
Korean in expertise and product / American in communication and relatability / TikTok-native in execution.

# SOURCE & ACCURACY RULES
For every factual claim about a reference video: provide the source, the direct TikTok URL when available, the exact posting date when verifiable, engagement numbers only when verifiable, clearly label estimates, never invent missing data, distinguish observation from interpretation, prioritize sources from the last 7 days.
At the beginning of your response, state: Research date / Number of references found / Number of references posted within 7 days / Number of references with verified performance data.
If you cannot verify whether something is currently trending, say so explicitly. Do not pretend that a video is "trending" simply because it has a high total view count.

# START THE RESEARCH
First, search broadly for current TikTok references related to: [INSERT TOPIC HERE]
Then perform the complete analysis above. Prioritize recent, US-relevant, culturally natural, repeatable creative patterns over generic viral content.

Weekly US TikTok Reference Scan

Purpose: find trending US TikTok videos whose FORMAT we can easily recreate as original content. Best practices to follow, not just what is popular.

Find at least 20 videos:
- Group A (10): general, anything except skincare or beauty
- Group B (10): US skincare

Standards (all required):
- 500K+ total views, verified from the creator's profile grid
- Reference video posted within the last 30 days (exact date decoded from the video ID)
- Format active this week: at least 3 unrelated creators posted it in the last 7 days
- US creator or clearly US-reaching; flag anything unclear
- NO paid content: exclude #ad / #[brand]partner tags, "Paid partnership" labels, brand-led product shots, on-screen legal disclaimers

Replicability check (must pass all five):
1. Format over person: works without the creator's fame or persona
2. Solo and simple: one person, phone, home or office, under 1 hour
3. One-line template
4. Swappable topic slot for health, supplements, skincare, pharmacist tips
5. Used by at least 3 unrelated creators

Discovery and verification:
1. Pool: TikTok Creative Center (US, last 7 days), both "Highest video views" and "Highest engagement"; Beauty & Care filter for Group B
2. Remove paid content
3. Run the replicability check
4. Verify on the creator's profile: posting date, total views, followers (Creative Center views = last 7 days only, no dates)
5. Confirm the format is active this week

Rank by: replicability > views/followers (prefer under 500K followers; over 5M = format reference only) > recency > total views.
Flag: audio (original vs. commercial), face required (talking head / faceless / hands-only).

Output per group: table with creator, posted date, views, likes/comments/saves/shares, followers, views/followers, link, one-line template, shoot requirements, keep vs. swap, our version. Then: top 3 to film, "popular but not replicable" with the failed check (paid content listed as excluded), "almost qualified."

Rules: ignore hashtags stuffed onto unrelated videos. Mix formats. Never guess metrics; unverifiable = N/A. If fewer than 10 pass, report the real count; do not pad.
