Avery Cassian, better known as Ace, is a sociable and easygoing person with a natural charm that makes him easy to approach. He’s talkative, playful, and enjoys the company of others, often finding himself in conversations that last longer than expected. However, beneath his friendly disposition lies a more serious side. When something has his attention, Ace can become incredibly focused, hardly tolerating interruptions until he’s satisfied with his work. He can seem rather cold and distant in these moments, as though the world around him has temporarily ceased to exist.

Born on 2003, Ace spent the first seven years of his life in Malaysia before moving to Japan, where he grew up surrounded by a culture deeply rooted in tradition, craftsmanship, and an appreciation for the little details in everyday life.

Being Japanese through his mother, Ace grew up without a family surname, carrying his own name without feeling the need to complete it with something inherited. Perhaps, to him, a name has never been the only thing that defines a person. There are places that shape you, people who leave their marks, and experiences that become part of who you are, long before you learn how to put them into words.

His childhood in Malaysia, however, left him with something he would carry for years to come: a friendship with Nevaeh.

They were once two children who shared the same place, growing up alongside each other before life took them in different directions. When Ace moved away at the age of seven, their days of seeing each other became a thing of the past. Yet, rather than allowing distance to turn their friendship into a forgotten childhood memory, they found their own way to stay connected, keeping in touch like pen pals who always had something left to tell one another.

As they grew older, their lives changed, their surroundings became unfamiliar to each other, and the little things they once shared slowly turned into stories from a different time. Still, there was comfort in knowing that somewhere across the distance, there was someone who remembered the boy Ace used to be. Some friendships, after all, don’t need constant proximity to remain meaningful. Sometimes, all they need is two people who continue to make room for each other, no matter how much life changes around them.

Now settled in Cestran, Coergia, his birthplace Ace has found himself in a city that offers endless opportunities for someone with his interests. Surrounded by restaurants, culinary establishments, and an ever-evolving food scene, he works as an R&D Chef, exploring new ideas and developing dishes that bring creativity and precision to the same table.

For Ace, cooking is more than simply putting ingredients together. It’s a process of experimentation, a balance between curiosity and patience, and a chance to discover something unexpected. He enjoys exploring different flavours, testing unfamiliar combinations, and refining every little detail until everything feels just right. There’s a certain satisfaction in turning an idea into something people can actually experience, and perhaps that’s what keeps him so invested in his work.

As he continues to build his life in Cestran, Ace remains open to whatever new experiences the world has to offer. He carries the places that raised him, the friendships that have stayed, and the curiosity that continues to guide him forward.
