Pinky is an app for two partners. You draw, write and send little moments that appear in the app and on each other's Home Screen widgets, and you raise a pet, Pinky, together. This policy explains what we store, why, and what you can do about it.
The short version: we keep only what Pinky needs to work, and only you and your partner can see what you share. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't track you. There are no analytics or advertising tools in the app.
Account identifier When you first open Pinky we create a random user ID. There is no sign-up or login. A random sign-in key is saved in your iCloud Keychain so Pinky can find your account again after a reinstall or on a new iPhone. We never ask for your email address, phone number or Apple ID.
Your profile The name you enter, your avatar (an emoji or a photo you choose), your birthday if you add it, your time zone and your app language.
What you share with your partner Drawings, photos, notes, love letters (including letters sealed until a date), coupons, song links, moods, reactions, nudges and heartbeats, answers to daily questions, games and their results, and plans and dreams. Only you and your connected partner can see them.
Pinky, your pet Its level, mood and outfits, plus the treats, shields and hearts you have.
Approximate location (optional) Only if you turn on "Share distance". It is measured to about 1 km and used only to show your partner how far apart you are. You can turn it off at any time.
"On my way" If you start it, we store the arrival time you set, so it can show on your partner's Lock Screen. It does not use your location.
Kisses When you send a kiss, where your thumb touches the screen is sent live between your two phones.
Device tokens A push notification token, Live Activity tokens and a random widget key. These let your partner's moments reach your notifications, Lock Screen and widgets.
Purchases Your Pinky Plus status and in-app purchases. Payments are handled by Apple, and we never see your payment details.
Pinky uses the camera only when you take a photo to share. It asks to add to your photo library only when you save something, like your memory book. Pinky never reads your photo library.
We don't collect your email, phone number, contacts, Apple ID, advertising identifier, health data or browsing history. We don't use analytics or crash-reporting tools.
