1. Overview

TabVault ("the Extension") is a browser productivity extension for Google Chrome designed to help users save, organize, and restore browser tab sessions locally. We respect your privacy and operate under a strict Local-First, Zero-Tracking architecture.

2. Data We Access and Store Locally

TabVault does not own or operate any backend servers that collect your browsing history or personal data.

Tab Information (tabs permission): When you click "Save" or "Save & Close", the Extension reads the titles and URLs of the tabs in your current browser window solely to create a saved session.
Local Storage (storage permission): All saved tab sessions, session names, timestamps, language preferences, and PRO activation status are stored 100% locally on your device using Chrome's native chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your browser unless you manually export it to your clipboard as Markdown.
Favicons: To display website icons inside your saved sessions, the browser requests standard public favicons via Google's public favicon service (www.google.com/s2/favicons) using only the domain hostname.

3. PRO License Verification & Payments (`host_permissions`)

Payment Processing: All PRO upgrades and financial transactions are processed externally and securely by Gumroad (gumroad.com). TabVault never accesses, processes, or stores your credit card, PayPal, or billing details.
License Activation: When you enter a PRO license key, the Extension sends a direct HTTPS request containing only the product identifier (product_id) and your license key (license_key) to Gumroad's official API (https://api.gumroad.com/v2/licenses/verify) solely to verify that the key is valid and active.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, trade, or transfer your browsing data or saved sessions to any third parties.
We do not use analytics scripts, tracking pixels, advertising SDKs, or remote code inside the Extension.

5. Chrome Web Store Limited Use Disclosure

The use of information received from Google Chrome APIs adheres strictly to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
