What AIOS is

AIOS is a governed context operating system for long-running AI-assisted work. It helps the system resume projects accurately, retrieve only the context needed for the current task, keep unrelated project branches isolated, distinguish memory from authority, and make durable changes traceable.

Its core path is:

Request → scope resolution → smallest useful context → registered capability → verification → governed writeback

The Atlas is the visual observer for that system. It shows how scopes, memory, research, capabilities, authority surfaces, evidence, and execution paths connect without becoming the authority itself.
