Blended Learning International (BLI), headquartered in Canberra, demonstrated continued leadership across the GDLN community in 2025, with Professor Glenn Withers and Lisa Materano contributing to both network governance and program innovation under the auspices of BLI.

Key contributions included:

Leadership in Executive Education: BLI delivered a series of advanced executive briefings and programs in cyber governance, digital policy, and crisis leadership. These initiatives reflected BLI’s established reputation for aligning content with contemporary global needs, including social cyber resilience, anti-disinformation policy, and AI capability building.

Support for Affiliate Engagement: Fee-free places were made available to Affiliates and partners across Asia-Pacific in a suite of social cyber courses. These were designed to build foundational knowledge in governance, risk, and digital trust. Participants from Bangladesh, China, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka engaged through online delivery and personalised mentoring.

Contribution to Micro-Credential Development: BLI worked closely with the GDLN Global Board—particularly Professor Glenn Withers—on the policy framework for micro-credentials. This work aims to support GDLN affiliates in validating short-form learning with formal recognition mechanisms aligned to global quality assurance principles.

Advisory and Regional Coordination: BLI played an ongoing advisory role across multiple regional initiatives, supporting articulation pathways, facilitating course recognition, and aligning national policy objectives with global development learning priorities.

Blended Learning International remains a committed partner in strengthening the GDLN’s capacity to deliver accessible, flexible, and globally relevant learning opportunities.
