My name is Jo’na J. Johnson; I am a trans-masculine individual originally from Detroit, Michigan, and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. At the tail end of 2025 I moved to Brooklyn, NY. I am a mixed media artist and creative marketing strategist that has been creating content consistently since 2016.
My creative foundation began in high school through my love for photography and digital manipulation, where I explored multiplicity, illusionary self-portraiture, and emotionally driven visual storytelling. My work went on to earn multiple Gold and Silver Key awards through the Scholastic Art & Writing Competitions, shaping the emotional and story driven approach that still defines my work today.
At the center of my practice is the belief that storytelling should feel human first. I create work that preserves authenticity while building emotional connection — blending cinematography, vulnerability, emotional intelligence, and narrative-driven marketing to help artists and creators resonate with the people they’re trying to reach.
Today, my work exists at the intersection of art and strategy. Through social media content, creative direction, videography, brand storytelling, and marketing systems, I help creators and artists build meaningful digital presence without losing the core of who they are. My experience comes not only from continued pursuit of formal education, but from building my own audience, brand identity, and creative platform firsthand.
My vision is to create emotionally stimulating work that feels honest, vulnerable, and deeply relatable — work that reminds people of themselves and each other. Whether through art, content, or brand storytelling, I aim to create experiences that inspire connection, reflection, and community.
