The Challenge

Teams will tackle challenges across two tracks. In both tracks, your entry must utilise Health AI Developer Foundations models (which includes MedGemma).

1. Connected Care - From Treating Illness to Preventing It

Challenge Set by Bupa

Healthcare is evolving from treating illness to helping people stay healthy for longer. Bupa already offers a range of preventive healthcare services, from health assessments and genomic healthcare programmes to digital consultations, personalised health programmes and early mental health support. The opportunity isn't to create new preventive services, but to help people discover, understand and engage with the right services at the right time. Build an AI-powered solution that helps people engage with preventive healthcare through more personalised, timely and relevant experiences, empowering them to take action before they become unwell.

2. Pathway Breakdown - Closing the Gaps at Care Handoffs

Challenge set by AlbionVC

Patient pathways lose time and people at the handoffs (referral to diagnosis, diagnosis to treatment), but teams rarely have real-time visibility into where or why. Build something that surfaces this and helps a team act on it.
