Role: Clinical Operations Lead - Mount Sinai Health System (REACH Program)
Building a sustainable operating model for employee engagement, community partnership, and healthcare policy advocacy.
Advocacy was central to the REACH Program’s mission, but participation depended largely on individual initiative rather than a formal organizational structure. Without defined governance, advocacy efforts lacked consistent coordination, communication, participation pathways, accountability, and long-term sustainability across multidisciplinary teams.
The program needed a scalable model to translate employee interest into coordinated advocacy activity, strengthen collaboration with external partners, and embed policy engagement into routine organizational operations.
I co-founded the Advocacy in Action Task Force and helped design the governance model that transformed advocacy from informal participation into a structured organizational program.
I assessed existing advocacy activities, employee-engagement patterns, communication practices, and governance gaps. In partnership with clinical staff, operational teams, leadership, community organizations, and legislative partners, I established the task force’s purpose, meeting cadence, participation pathways, planning structure, communication workflows, decision-making practices, and shared responsibilities.
I supported the launch of recurring governance meetings, employee policy-education activities, community partnerships, and legislative advocacy initiatives. As the program matured, I helped refine governance processes, expand multidisciplinary participation, and embed advocacy into the organization’s operating model.
