Privacy at a glance

Alide is a prompt copilot that works inside supported AI chat services. It can review and score a draft, identify missing context, ask optional clarifying questions, build a prompt, suggest detailed follow-ups, and let a user highlight part of an answer to ask about it.

Alide does not retain a readable history of your conversations. Alide does not build or retain a readable database of your prompt drafts or chat history, and Alide personnel do not read conversations as part of normal product operation. While Alide is enabled on a supported chat page, the extension may automatically examine the draft, limited relevant portions available in the open conversation, and attachment material needed for the feature you are using.

When an AI-assisted feature runs, the necessary content is sent through Alide's servers to OpenAI, Alide's sole AI API provider, for processing. Alide does not store that request content in readable form in its application database after the request is completed. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models by default, and Alide does not opt in to training. OpenAI's default retention is explained in Sections 13 and 14.

Alide does not sell personal information, run behavioral advertising, or share information with advertisers or data brokers. Alide does not require government identification, verification selfies, facial scans, or biometric data. Users can delete suggestion history or their account, and locally saved prompts remain on the user's device unless the user removes them.

This summary highlights key points for convenience. The complete Terms of Use and Privacy Policy below govern your use of Alide.

Part I. Terms of Use

1. Acceptance and scope

These Terms of Use and Privacy Policy (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the Alide browser extension, Alide websites, account and dashboard features, paid plans, and related services (collectively, the "Services"), provided by Alide AI LLC ("Alide," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, installing the extension, clicking to accept these Terms, purchasing a plan, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. The Services and user control

2.1 What Alide does. Alide works on supported AI chat sites, currently including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Poe. Depending on the feature and settings selected, Alide may analyze and score a draft, identify gaps, ask clarifying questions, generate revised or long-form prompts, suggest follow-up requests, apply model-specific or writing preferences, use relevant visible conversation or attachment context, and create a question from text the user highlights.

2.2 Sending remains under user control. By default, Alide fills the host site's message box and the user decides whether to send. If a user turns on the Auto-send follow-up picks setting, clicking a follow-up suggestion may send that selected text immediately instead of only filling the message box. Alide does not independently send content merely because it reviewed a draft. The user remains responsible for messages and activity on the supported AI service.

2.3 AI limitations. Alide's analyses and suggestions are generated with automated systems and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate. Review content before sending or relying on it. The Services are not a substitute for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice and must not be used as the sole basis for emergency, high-risk, safety-critical, or mission-critical decisions.

2.4 Availability and changes. Features, supported sites, models, limits, and plan benefits may change. Alide may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Services, subject to applicable law and any commitments made for an active paid term.

2.5 Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Services. The Services are not directed to children, and Alide does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

3. Accounts and security

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting access to your email and devices, and promptly notifying Alide of suspected unauthorized use. Sign-in may use an emailed one-time code. You may not share an account in a way that bypasses plan limits or access controls. Alide may require reasonable verification before acting on an account or privacy request.
