I’ll keep it short and sweet this week gents

What I liked

• McElMagnifico as captian, led the line well and just a class young fella
• Hughes decent, awful at the end but he’s still raw as anything tbh, get the cobwebs out now as it wont be accepted next season
• I’d like him to be a bit more aggressive and commanding, he seems to nice, be a brute man
• Stewart was good, very lucky to not see red
• Luke Pearce was good when he came on, he may have been used 10 mins too late, he caused a lot of problems for Dundalk
• Pearce, Meekison and Shorrock got forward well in the 2nd half, definitely posed a threat but poor deliveries and/or decisions cost us our second
• Amazing to see what could happen if we had simply just scored more, we looked a different team for a small period when the tails were up
• Great to see Patton back, you’d only love to keep him for next season

What I didn’t like

• Cian Kavanagh didn’t do enough tonight, felt he was second best to most aerial balls and was not present at all really for the deliveries, albeit very poor into the box
• Meekison was very quiet and what really gets me about him is his lack of physicality, another fella that is just too nice and gentle on the ball. He did look a lot better second half with Shorrock and Pearce
• Not sure whats going on with Quirk slotting in at RWB/RB? Not a fan of that tbh. This fella could literally run through a mountain but I honestlt could not tell you the logic at playing him where he’s at. He’s done well though but I would rather him in midfield, where he belongs.
• Gabbidon was humbled I felt, Horgan made a show of him out on that wing and Tehan was quite the handful, did not look at the races today the young man, it happens! He’ll come back.
• I would have liked to have seen more subs getting used, we need lads to get time under their belts and we are only playing for what little pride remains. Get them out on to the pitch, especially if they are in the plans for next season. Only 3 used tonight.
• First half was torture if I am honest, we couldnt get out of the final third and when we did, we couldnt string a few passes together.
• A game of two halves ill admit, much better second half and just tremendously unlucky to concede so so late again, story all season.
