Day 1 in Marfa
Walked for about 3.5 hours just looking, getting lost, and taking in the place
Feeling the inspiration already.

There is a presence for sure. Ancestral beings exist here.
Day 2 in Marfa
I woke up early to watch the sunrise. I stood by the road and felt calm for the first time in a while. Afterwards, I decided to treat myself to a matcha and breakfast taco at “The Sentinel”.
Such a cozy environment, and I met a couple who were on vacation from New Jersey. I thought, " Wow, in a far distant place like Marfa, I still get to connect with people from near my home”.
Later on, I went back into my sketchbook to expand my concepts further as I read about Marfa and its history. I decided to go out and explore again because I felt the need to find some artistry made here.
I was happy to discover Christoper Wool’s work, and it caught my attention because one of his artwork displays was massive, covering the top to bottom of this grand wall. I found out that he originally was a graphic designer before he ventured into various mediums.
I really like that he doesn’t follow rules and owns his path. He believes in creating experiences. Something I continue to think about as I live out here in the desert.
