1. Who We Are

"AsiaBound — Asia Travel Guide & Planner" (the "App") is an independent iOS application designed and developed by Selman Faruk YILMAZ (the "Developer", "we", "us"), based in Turkey. The App is published on the Apple App Store and is available for iPhone and iPad running iOS 17 or later.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the minimum amount of data necessary to operate the App. The App is designed to work without an account; sign-in is fully optional.

Locally on your device (SwiftData, never leaves the device unless you sign in):

• Your trips, day-by-day plans, saved answers, draft notes, language preference, currency preference.

On our backend (Supabase, EU region) — only if you sign in:

• Your email address and display name, as provided by Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In.
• Your trips, trip items and saved answers, scoped to your account via Row Level Security (auth.uid filtered).

Anonymous, aggregated data (no link to your identity):

• The text of questions sent to the App is logged anonymously in a query_log table. This is used solely to measure semantic cache hit-rate and improve the quality of answers. No user ID, IP address, or device identifier is attached.
• Answer quality feedback (thumbs up / thumbs down) that you voluntarily submit.

Not collected at any time:

• No IDFA, no advertising identifier, no third-party tracking SDKs, no device fingerprinting, no precise location, no contacts, no photos, no microphone, no camera.
