Summary

GarimPack does not collect any data.

The app has no networking code. It cannot send your documents, or anything read from them, anywhere.

What the app processes

GarimPack reads the PDFs and images you open in order to report what can still be extracted from them and, if you choose, to create a cleaned copy. To check whether text is hidden under a shape, it also draws each page and reads it back. All of this happens entirely on your Mac.

You can open a document, read the report, and close it again without changing anything. Nothing is written unless you export.

• Documents, extracted text, and text recognised from images are held in memory while a document is open and are discarded when you close it or open another one.
• Temporary files created while merging or converting are written to the app's sandbox temporary folder and removed when the operation finishes, fails, or is cancelled.
• Passwords you enter to open a locked PDF, or to protect an exported file, are used only for that operation and are never written to disk.
• Nothing is logged. The app does not write document contents, recognised text, or detected values to any log or crash report.

What we do not do

• We do not collect, store, or transmit personal data.
• We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising.
• There are no user accounts and no cloud services.
• We do not share data with third parties, because we do not have any of your data.

Documents you did not create

You can open a document you received from someone else to check what it still contains. It is treated exactly like your own files: read on your Mac, held in memory while open, never uploaded, never logged, and never modified unless you export a new copy.
