A character on a moving train disables a searchlight and escapes through a doorway. The film needed a readable action sequence, physical weight and a consistent painterly world.
After completing the red-flag version, I set a second brief: replace the flag with ivory fabric and a charcoal paired-slash mark while preserving the story, overall runtime and soundtrack.
This made the project a test of revision control as well as image quality.
Creative direction, continuity review and final approval. I chose the visual treatment, reviewed action and staging, requested edit and mix changes, and approved the delivered versions.
AI/Codex assisted with shot proposals, prompts, reference preparation, technical review, source selection, editing and mixing. Generative tools produced the images and motion.

Nine of the original thirteen shot positions involved the flag revision. Four shots were reused: the character decision close-up, the lamp aftermath, the side jump and the entry.
The deliverables include both films, edited references, a process showcase and a source-selection ledger.
