962 NA Meifang is born Xi Aiguo to a merchant family in Ionia. Their business is in transporting goods from one side of the island to the next, and although they make a decent living, they were far from wealthy.
970 NA On what was supposed to be a several week long trading trip, an unexpected storm leaves Meifang shipwrecked on the shores of Noxus ad the rest of his family dead.
972 NA After several years of living as a beggar, Meifang is picked up and taken home by Kellam Lamine, a Noxian noble and war general. Given the name Marcel Lamine, he is trained by his father in all forms of combat. His adoptive father frequently performs “stress tests” on him involving spontaneous, highly dangerous drills disguised as real peril.
976 NA Done with the constant abuse he suffered at the hands of his father, Meifang runs away and begins living on his own again. He begins dressing as a woman to avoid being found and learns to skillfully play social situations to his advantage.
979 NA Meifang is found by an associate of his father while singing at a lounge for free room and board. When confronted, he comes back willingly, though not without initial resistance. Impressed with Meifang’s talent for deception, his father starts training him in spycraft.
980 NA As Noxus enters the preparation stage for the invasion of Ionia, Meifang is sent back on a ship as a spy. Posing as a traveling bard, he gathers secrets on many of Ionia’s factions.
984 NA Meifang returns home just as the first Noxian invasion of Ionia begins.
986 NA Halfway through the war, Meifang is sent back to Noxus, this time with an additional job: infiltrating the resistance and assassinating its leader.
987 NA Upon the dissolution of the resistance’s unified front, Meifang makes a last-ditch effort to kill Irelia. He is ultimately unable to, and he returns to posing as a bard and wandering the roads of Ionia with passing caravans.
989 NA After the war’s end, Meifang tries to return to Noxus, but is caught by members of the Navori Brotherhood, who suspect him of being a spy. Spurred on by Meifang’s own manipulations, his captors argue for days over whether or not to kill him, until he eventually slips away.
990 NA Meifang takes up residence at the Silken Bloom lounge, where he performs dressed as a woman (for the love of the game), rising to fame as the lounge’s main draw as the artist known as Meifang. Privately, he wars with himself on whether or not to return to his father in Noxus.
