Baseline is built on a simple principle: your data belongs to you. Here's exactly what that means.
Baseline stores all your journal entries, mood logs, and health data on your device using Apple's secure SwiftData framework. Nothing is sent to Baseline's servers — because Baseline has no servers.
Names, phone numbers, and care provider details you enter are stored only on your device. These are never transmitted to Baseline or any third party.
Medication reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. The notification body stays generic. Reminder titles also stay generic by default unless you explicitly choose to show a medication name on the lock screen for a reminder - this is helpful if you have different schedules for different medications.
Baseline does not run its own account system or server backup. Your device or iCloud backup settings may include Baseline data as part of Apple's normal device backup system.
Purchases and subscriptions are handled by StoreKit and the App Store. Baseline does not collect or store your payment card details.
Baseline may ask for your location during onboarding or when you open an Off Base check-in. This is used only to display your city name and the local weather in the Grounding Block — a reminder of where you are and how it feels there. Your raw coordinates are never stored or transmitted.
Baseline contains no analytics SDK, no crash reporting that includes personal data, and no advertising. I do not know how you use the app. You can tell me yourself if you ever want to!
You can export your health history at any time from Settings > Data & Privacy. This creates a CSV file that you can share or store wherever you choose. Baseline does not retain a copy. If you ever want a fresh start or wish to stop using the app you can also delete your data and profile.
Baseline is a journaling and reflection tool. It is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional mental health care, diagnosis, treatment, emergency services, or crisis support.
