• The basket is the goal consisting of the ring and net that a team shoots at.
• Each team (NFHS & NCAA) shoots at the basket opposite their bench for the first half.
  • Teams change baskets at halftime.
  • NOTE:
    • In Pro rules, the visiting team chooses the basket they want to shoot at during the first half. Teams will still switch baskets at halftime.
• If teams are accidentally shooting at the wrong basket during the game:
  • Officials should correct the direction immediately.
  • All points scored and time consumed remain the same.
• A try for goal must be directed at a team’s own basket to be legal.
