What Beat it! is

Beat it! is a step-sequencer beat maker. Every sound is synthesized on your device — there's nothing to download, log into, or connect to. This policy explains, plainly, what that means for your data: there isn't any to talk about.

Data we collect

None. BeatMaker has no user accounts, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and makes no network requests of any kind. We have no server, so there is nowhere for your information to go even if we wanted it to.

How your information is handled

• The beats you create are stored only in the app's local storage, on your device. They are never uploaded anywhere, by us or anyone else.
• Sharing a beat uses Apple's native share sheet to send a file straight from your device through whatever method you pick — AirDrop, Messages, Files, and so on. BeatMaker has no server in that path and never sees the file.
• In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple's StoreKit. BeatMaker never receives or stores your payment details.
• Sound files you import (a premium feature) stay on your device and are never transmitted anywhere.

Children's privacy

BeatMaker doesn't collect information from anyone, regardless of age. Because there's no data collection, there's nothing that requires special handling under COPPA or similar children's privacy laws — the same "we collect nothing" standard applies equally to every user.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Given that BeatMaker's entire design is to avoid collecting anything, we don't expect that to change.
