Begets ("the app") is operated by Emily Heggie ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Email address (optional). Provided only when you choose to sign in with email. Used solely to authenticate you and to email a one-time login code.
• Affirmations you create, including the affirmation text, your chosen daily goal, feelings, activities, people, proud-of, and Brain Dump notes.
• Daily Log entries (optional). Feelings, activities, people you spent time with, things you're proud of, and free-text notes ("Brain Dump") that you record in the Daily Log tab. These stay on your device only — see Section 3.

Information generated as you use the app

• Repetitions — a record of each time you complete a practice (rewrite or draw), including a timestamp and the practice mode.
• Reminder times you set in the app's Settings.
• Status timestamps such as when an affirmation was created, marked as fulfilled, or archived.
• An anonymous user identifiergenerated automatically by Supabase if you have not yet signed in. This is a random ID with no personal information attached.

Information we do not collect

• We do not collect names, addresses, payment information, contacts, location, photos, or device identifiers beyond what is necessary for the app to run.
• We do not use third-party advertising networks or analytics SDKs.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above only to:

• Provide the app's core features (creating affirmations, tracking practice, showing streaks, sending reminders you opt into).
• Authenticate you when you sign in.
