The short version

BillTracker does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. Everything stays on your device.

What data BillTracker stores

BillTracker stores your bills, accounts, categories, and payment history locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export a backup yourself.

What data BillTracker does NOT collect

No personal information (name, email, address)
No financial account numbers or credentials
No usage analytics or crash reporting
No advertising identifiers
No location data

Third-party services

BillTracker uses no third-party SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising networks. There are no external servers involved.

iCloud & backups

BillTracker does not sync to iCloud. Your data is stored only on the device where the app is installed. You can export a backup at any time from Settings → Export Full Backup (JSON) or Export Bills as CSV, and restore from that backup on any device running BillTracker.

Notifications

If you enable due-date reminders, BillTracker schedules local notifications on your device. These are processed entirely on-device; no notification content is sent to any server.

Face ID / Passcode

BillTracker uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework for app lock. Biometric data is handled entirely by iOS and is never accessible to the app.
