Bjorn is an incredibly sweet soul who struggles with fear. He is afraid and avoidant of new men, though he had a strong relationship with his previous owners which consisted of a man and a woman. He has very low toy drive but will work for food. He does well on leash in low distraction areas (in the yard and on walks in the neighborhood). He does well in the house, in the crate, in a kennel, and in the car. Bjorn just loves other dogs (of all sizes) and is very respectful and appropriate.
Bjorn is still working on himself and will do best with a calm home, with or without other dogs, where his new family will be extremely patient with him and not expect to take him.

Lifespan: 9–13 years
Coat: Double coat, medium length. Comes in standard (longer outer coat) and plush (denser, fuller). Sheds year-round with two heavy shedding seasons.
Grooming: Moderate to high. Brushing 2–3 times per week minimum, daily during shedding season. Regular nail trims, ear checks, and dental care.
Energy Level: Moderate - High. Needs significant daily physical exercise and mental stimulation. An unfulfilled one will find their own outlet.
Mental Capacity: Exceptional. One of the most trainable breeds in the world. Learns quickly, retains well, and thrives when given a job to do. That intelligence works against you if the dog is bored.
Sensitivity: High. GSDs are deeply attuned to their handler's energy and emotions. They do not respond well to harsh, inconsistent handling and they don't forget how they've been treated.
With Family: Loyal, protective, and deeply bonded. Typically good with children. Can be reserved or protective with strangers.
With Other Animals: Variable. High prey drive in some lines.
Common Health Concerns: Hip and elbow dysplasia, degenerative myelopathy, bloat, skin conditions.
Good For: Active individuals or families, experienced dog owners, working roles, sport, service work.
Not Ideal For: Passive owners, small living spaces without adequate exercise outlets, first-time dog owners without a training plan.
