Blue Collar Connect ("Blue Collar Connect," "we," "us," or "our") operates a marketplace that helps people who need work done connect with independent blue-collar workers and service professionals in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

We may collect:

• Account information, including your name, email address, password credentials, and whether you are joining as a job poster or worker. Authentication is provided by Supabase. We do not receive or store your password in readable form.
• Profile information, including your photo, city, state, service radius, trades, work experience, biography, availability, and other profile details.
• Marketplace content, including job descriptions, budgets, schedules, bids, messages, reviews, ratings, work samples, and feedback.
• Uploaded files, including job photos, profile photos, work samples, and credential documents.
• Credential information, including the type, title, issuer, expiration date, and review status of licenses, certifications, insurance, or other documents you choose to submit.
• Safety and support information, including reports, blocked-user records, support emails, appeal requests, and information you provide when reporting fraud, harassment, unsafe behavior, or other concerns.

Location information

With your permission, we may collect your device's precise location while you use the app. You may instead enter an address or ZIP code. We use this information to calculate distance, match users within a selected travel radius, and display an approximate marketplace location.

Blue Collar Connect is designed not to show your exact coordinates or full address in public marketplace views. Other users may see an approximate distance, city, state, and job location information you choose to include in a listing or message.

Device and technical information

We may collect device type, operating system, app version, authentication and security logs, timestamps, IP-derived technical information, and push-notification tokens. If you enable notifications, we use the token to deliver job, bid, message, and account updates.
