Promotion rule
A tablet remains a lead until all four gates pass. Only then may it be promoted to Plate 28.
Gate 1 — Primary evidence
- High-quality photographs or hand copies available.
- Stable published transliteration or critical edition available.
- Museum or collection metadata available.
Gate 2 — Arithmetic closure
- Every printed numerical claim reconstructs from the source.
- Sexagesimal conversions are explicit.
- No hidden substitution is used to force agreement.
Gate 3 — Philological stability
- Critical signs are legible or independently published.
- No unresolved sign disagreement changes the mathematical interpretation.
- Literal reading and functional interpretation are separated.
Gate 4 — Historical leverage
- The tablet opens a branch not already covered by Plates 1–27.
- The plate can state one exact result and one bounded open question.
- The tablet supports a museum-quality visual narrative.
