What we're actually trying to solve

Create a one-time setup so Proloquo symbol images are permanently, frictionlessly accessible in CapCut on both phones — no re-uploading, no hunting through camera rolls, just tap and place.

The two-part system

Part 1: Shared asset library (Google Drive)

Create a folder: "AAC Overlays — Proloquo" in Google Drive. Share with Tahlia.

Images to include:

Group Symbols
Core vocabulary more, stop, done, help, want, I like this, no, again
Emotions happy, sad, tired, excited, scared
Key phrases I want squeezes, I want music, I want food
Activities cooking, playdough, water play, bubbles
Body squeezes, hands, feet

To get clean screenshots: Open Proloquo, zoom in on each button so it fills the screen, screenshot.

Remove BG tip (CapCut Pro): Run each image through CapCut → Tools → Remove BG. Strips the button background, leaves symbol + text on transparent background. Looks much cleaner as an overlay. Save cleaned versions back to Drive.

Part 2: CapCut My Stickers (one-time upload per device)

  1. Open CapCut → any project → Stickers → My Stickers
  2. Tap Upload → select all Proloquo images
  3. They are now permanently in your stickers library — one tap to place in any future project

Tahlia does the same on her phone (downloads from Drive first, then uploads to My Stickers). One-time setup.

Part 3: Template project

  1. Create a new CapCut project with a placeholder video clip
  2. Add the consistent music track
