December 2025 – July 2026
Over a seven-month period, I led and supported 11 mixed-method UX research studies to redesign Birbank's Card Page. The goal was to understand user needs, validate design decisions, prioritize features, and reduce friction in one of the application's most frequently used sections.
The research combined qualitative and quantitative methods, allowing product and design teams to make evidence-based decisions instead of relying on assumptions.
| Month | Discovery | Validation | Quantitative | Design |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dec | 3DS Notifications Research | |||
| Jan | Cards Menu Initial Redesign Research | |||
| Feb | History & Banner Testing | History & Banner Testing | ||
| Apr | Feature Prioritization (MaxDiff, Clickstream, Call Data) | |||
| May | Security Root Cause Research | Card Sorting | ||
| Jun | Card Actions A/B Test Card Reissue Validation | |||
| Jul | History Button Test | 1. Final Card Page Redesign (Actions, Layout, Banners, QR, Reissue, Card Order) |
| Research | Goal | Outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Cards Menu First Redesign | Validate action list concepts | Hybrid navigation selected |
| Card Sorting | Organize Card Actions | Information architecture optimized |
| History Button Testing (2 iterations) | Compare 5 alternatives | Two strongest designs identified |
| Feature Prioritization (MaxDiff + Click + Call data) | Prioritize features | Four priority groups created |
| Security Root Cause Research | Understand 3DS issues | Awareness identified as key driver |
| Security A/B Test | Validate new entry points | Dual-entry approach recommended |
| Card Actions List A/B test (nested vs open-list card actions) | Test design and cognitive load | Hybrid model recommended as optimal design |
| Card Reissue Validation | Test wording and design | Improved comprehension |
| Final Card Page Redesign Tests | Validate end-to-end experience | Design improvements confirmed |
Through usability testing, users consistently completed tasks faster and with less confusion using a hybrid interaction model. This approach became the foundation of the final Card Page navigation.
