Product: a PSPO I exam prep course on Udemy, in Portuguese

I built and launched a certification prep course from my own experience of the PSPO I exam. Instead of selling a large volume of questions, the course takes 160 questions and explains each one: why the right answer is right, why the others are wrong, and which part of the Scrum Guide supports it.

Context & Problem

People who study for the PSPO I read the Scrum Guide, take practice tests and still miss questions that looked obvious. The problem is not a lack of study. It is the distance between understanding the theory and answering the question. Work experience can also confuse, because companies adapt Scrum and the exam tests the framework as the Guide describes it.

My Role

• Defined the product vision and positioning: reasoning, not memorization
• Built a bank of 160 questions and mapped it to the 12 official Scrum.org modules
• Wrote the explanation for every question, using the Scrum Guide 2020 as the only reference
• Set up a repeatable production process: an automated pipeline that turns the question bank into interactive slides, plus reading guides for recording
• Recorded the video explanations and published the course on Udemy
• Defined the metrics for the validation phase

Process

1. Insight. While preparing for my own exam, I saw that reading the Scrum Guide was only part of the challenge. The hard part was reading scenarios, noticing small differences between answers and understanding the reasoning.
