Status: Validating the questions with real people, before building the product. First 3 people tested · Take the test (6 min)
Snapshot
A quick tool that helps a team understand how each person likes to work. 12 real teamwork situations, about 6 minutes, available in Portuguese, English and Spanish. First test: the Pipoca Ágil team (7 people).
Context and problem
New teams lose time and energy before they learn how each person works: who needs detail, who needs speed, who needs harmony. This usually happens through friction, not through conversation.
Hypothesis: if a team can see each person's work profile in a few minutes, it will start collaborating with less friction.
My role
Product Owner and creator: problem framing, question design, scoring logic, product decisions and building the validation test with AI.
Process
- v0: 5 basic questions. I tested them myself and they were too weak to say anything useful.
- v1: practical work scenarios based on DISC, with one option per style. More concrete, but many questions overlapped.
- v2 (current): 12 non-overlapping situations (decisions, feedback, conflict, change, deadlines, onboarding, meetings, recognition), with a "most like me / least like me" answer in each one.
- Question validation test: before building the product, I used AI to turn the questions into a working web test, so real people can answer them and I can check if the questions work. The product itself (a result card per person and a team page) comes after this validation, prototyped in Lovable.
How the validation test works
- Each situation has 4 options, one per style, shown in random order.
- "Most like me" = 2 points, the two neutral options = 1 point, "least like me" = 0. Each style can reach 24 points.
- The result shows a main and a secondary style, with what the person brings, what to watch out for and how to work with them.
- When the 2nd, 3rd and 4th styles are within 2 points of each other, the result shows only the main style, with "other styles balanced". The chart with all four styles stays.
- When the two strongest styles are opposites (Decisive and Stable, or Interactive and Cautious), the result explains it as a dichotomous profile: someone who adapts to what the situation needs.
