As the Category Manager for India Puja Vertical, we have an upcoming festival on Ashtami on 18th/19th October 2026 during Navratri.
Task to do
I didn’t find poojas of Saraswati/Sharada godess, Durga Pooja (famous in kolkata during Navarati)
And in India, every house
And when comes to order value, I find its too low. Currently its ranging from 301 rs to 901. When comes to god, people will never think of price/money. If I am in that position, I would list the poojas whose prices range above 800-900rs/1 person thus helps to improve AOV.
When comes listing: None of the listings in store front finds intresting because
-it lacks divinity in the listings/store front images
-And the name of the poojas and its description: those are not clear. It is not necessary to add complete information in the description but as a customer I need to know, what I will get in return if I opt for that pooja in a few points/bullets
-I have seen a pooja listing “Shreegrah Vivah Puja” twice (one by one, both in english & Hindi). Which customers will choose? they definetely get confuse and leave the app without opting for anything
One question: I can find the listing in English, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada languages. (eventhough I opt the language as English). And that looks very odd to me. If I am present I would have aligned all the listings based on the consumer’s preferred language(or I will use chat language for all)
When comes to ads: In karnataka, there is a city called Kollegala, which is famous for black magic, I often used to get their ads in Facebook and I hate those. After watching your ads its looking like same because the visuals are not good and whetever you type a description in facebook or not but very less people going to read that, so there is a only one way to approach them, that’s by good divine video.
And your ads are not conveying what it is intended to convey
I position it as “Participate in Seva’s from where you are” or “get the blessings from your favourite god from where you are”
How I Target:
In India, we have a great opportunity to segment families based on the God or Guru they worship. For example, some families follow Guru Raghavendra Swamy of Mantralayam, while others worship Shri Manjunatha Swamy of Dharmasthala. If we segment families based on their preferred deity or temple, we have a better chance of reaching a larger number of families with relevant puja offerings.
CTA’s: Instead of saying “Book Pooja” can we say “Participate in Pooja”? That communicates them to get involved in the seva rather than “booking” it (it's a purely commercial word)
