Supporting Students in the AI Challenge
Thank you for coaching students in the AI Challenge. Your support helps them see themselves not just as learners, but as creators and problem-solvers who can use AI to make a real difference in their communities.
Whether you’re guiding a club, advisory group, or individual check-ins, your role makes this journey possible. By mentoring with curiosity and care, you’re opening doors to futures students may not yet imagine.

Q: What do I need to do if teams want to submit nationally?
- This site provides excellent support for the national submission process.
- Register teams on the official Challenge site (collect consent forms and ensure eligibility). The lead Educator, community group leader, or Supervising Adult should collect the required consent forms and register the team at the Challenge website. This self-paced course supports students for Track II.
- Take advantage of office hours: Once your team has been registered, come to Challenge Virtual Office Hours (youth are required to be accompanied by their Supervising Adult) for advice or guidance on your team’s project or to talk with someone to make sure you have addressed the Requirements and Deliverables. (Office hours are available from 7-8 pm ET on every Monday from November 3 - January 19, excluding December 22 and 29.)
- Check submissions against the official requirements:
- Single PDF (≤10 pages, ≤50 MB)
- 500+ word narrative (team-authored, with citations)
- Certification of Originality
